I need more maternity sessions like this in my life! I'm absolutely in love with the way Kim's maternity photography session turned out. Kim is a good friend of mine since our sons are close in age, and I even photographed her elopement back in January, shortly after she found out she was pregnant with baby Jay!
We did a lot of planning for this maternity photography session, and finally settled on photos by the water. Kim wanted several different looks, so we kind of shied away from the idea of lakeside photos. I sent her a few photos from our family photography session we did at The Keller Pointe last year with another photographer, and she was instantly in love! So we decided on The Keller Pointe for these.
We started off getting some simple family photos, and then moved on to focus more on the maternity photography. We spent about half the session in the field, and then for the remainder we went to the creek to get some photos there. I had already gotten plenty of sweet mommy and me photos, so the first thing I did at the creek was focus on dad and Wyatt. I think we got some really sweet and very "boyish" daddy and me photos, and Wyatt LOVED throwing rocks in the creek!
We finished up with a few more family and maternity shots, and then moved on to some intimate and sweet images of mom and dad before their second sweet boy arrives next month. Wyatt is going to be such a great big brother, and I can't wait to do this sweet family's newborn photography, too!
