I have done family photography for Kim and Stephen in the past, so when they asked me to shoot their wedding and engagement photography too, I was thrilled! We had all the details ironed out and then life threw them for a loop: Kim was pregnant again!
They really wanted to be married before their second kiddo arrived, so they contacted me again and asked if I would be willing to photograph their elopement now, and then in a year their big wedding. I of course said yes! So Kim, Stephen, and their sweet boy Wyatt invited the family to come to the courthouse and witness the ceremony.
Afterwards, we grabbed lunch and then headed to the Winspear Opera House in Downtown Dallas to get some elopement photos outside of the courthouse setting. It had been raining off and on all day, so I stopped at Target (aka the best store ever!) to grab some clear umbrellas.
First, we took the announcement photo to tell the whole world that Wyatt is going to be a big brother. Then we handed Wyatt over to his godmother and got to work on getting some gorgeous elopement photos. I'm sure they thought I was a little bit crazy when I told them to stand in the middle of the road with their umbrellas, but they trusted me (and only had to get out of the road for a car once!). We also found the iconic Winspear Opera House geometric wall and took several couple photos there.
I'm so happy for Kim and Stephen, and can't wait to do Kim's maternity session and their newborn photos once their newest babe arrives. Congratulations to the Chamiok Family!
